Some comments from my doggy friends
When Clever Colin at GuruInteractive introduced this feedback section recently I thought it would be a nice idea to include some of the comments I've had from the owners of my doggy subjects. Here are some of them. Thank you everybody for your warm comments - you and all the dogs out there are what keep me going!
Shandy - Springer Spaniel
Thank you so much - its stunning!!! - it brought tears to my eyes and I know it will do the same for my daughter when I give it to her on Friday this week. It is such a true likeness of Shandy and I can't tell you enough how pleased I am. Elaine Hart - Sedgefield
Waif dog
You manage to get a really convincing look in the eyes; you make it seem as though each animal is an individual (which we know they are).
I love both the portraits of the little dog! You have an ability to show form in an animal which is difficult because it can so easily be obscured by the texture of the fur.
Diane McLean - artist and friend - de Rust.
The portraits are excellent….that's a real talent, and love of dogs !
Rob Dutton - artist - Cape Town
Honey - Irsh Terrier
Elaine we think that your dog portraits are absolutely fabulous.
Christine - artist and friend - Prince Albert
Oodat and Lalie - Yorkshire terriers and Holly - mixed breed terrier
Rudy and I wanted to tell you that we absolutely thrilled with the portraits that you did of our dogs. The pencil drawing of the Yorkshire Terriers is astonishing, in that not only did you capture the expression of each of the dogs perfectly, you have also captured the form and texture of their very hairy coats - particularly around their heads, which is an integral part of Yorkie personality!
The pastel portrait of Holly is wonderful . As you know, Holly has a very special personality, which she expresses through her eyes. Again, you have captured this perfectly. Indeed, when looking at the portrait, it's as good as looking at the dog, and vice versa. Her coat, which is long and woolly, and multi-coloured (tan, gray, black and white), has been captured perfectly, both in terms of colour and texture.
We wish you every success with your future pet portraits. You are extremely talented!

Hullo Pam
Hi Pam - thanks so much for your lovely comment. Why not send me a picture of your doggy anyway - I'd love to see him. I could also tell you if it's possible to draw or paint him. Worth a try. Have you got another dog?

Excellent work
What a lovely website and amazing dog portraits. I wish I had a better photo of my dog (deceased) so that I could get you to paint him for me...
