All you need to do is to send me a clear full-colour photograph or digital image of your pet in jpeg format, no larger than 200 - 300 dpi (email resolution), together with his or her name (very important!), a few words about what makes your pet special to you, and a little description of his or her character:
- Is he the family joker, or a noble, aloof hound?
- Is he a fearsome guardian and protector, or a luxury-loving lapdog?
- Is he a rescue dog with a sad history, or a purebred with a long pedigree?
Just talking to me about your dog gives me further insight into his or her personality and soul.
Your dog’s portrait can be done in various media, on paper or canvas, which we will discuss and decide in advance:
• Charcoal
• Pastel
• Pencil/Graphite
• Watercolour
• Acrylic
• Oil
A charcoal or pastel drawing can be just as effective as an oil painting, and there are some breeds that look just great in charcoal – rough-coated terriers (your average “Scruffy” in other words) whereas a dachshund and other smooth-coated dogs lend themselves to acrylics and oils.
